Kristin's systems took time to hone and adjustments were necessary for many of them. She found herself quite ill equipped in both experience and ability in those early days. Despite this, many in Paragon City were in need of help. Then there were the gangs working as foot soldiers for the evil minds behind the dangers. They could prove educational in both combat and information. Logically, the escaped AI decided to start at the bottom and learn the way of things before blindly storming the behemoth that had created her. She obtained security status under the Citizen Crime Act and began the fight. Upgrades commenced quickly. She developed a membranous control system to act as a cape for flight. Her force
emission gloves grew with each new focus discipline, becoming bracers and then gauntlets! And data was necessary in combat versus the dark. Her scanning array developed into a full
helmet. Kristin even evolved her cohesion matrix to include density control for her exterior, hardening it to a virtual shell of silicon
circuitry for higher damage
resistance. This chapter of her development resulted in her Security Rank 20 form, KRISTIN 2.0.07.

The gangs of Paragon City were many. She
fought them all. There were mechanical zombies, hellish drug users, telekinetic robots,
kung-
fu sorcerers, and
Nazis. Kristin v07 beat chemical freaks and summoned demons. She was amongst the pioneers that tamed
Striga Isle of it's mobsters and fascist militants. And the haunted village of
Salamanca drew her into it's dark past. Many were the allies she
fought beside, as well.
Salamanca in particular, named
Croatoa in light of the spiritual war there, saw many teams, one ensemble even striking to the heart of the problems there, allying with the noble witch in the North through rescuing her soul and striking down all three of the colossal warriors that roamed the land.

Kristin 2.0.07 had become a hero. The people spoke of her often, yet her praises were meager compared to the adventures she took part in that the people would never even hear about. The government disavowed any connection to the extremist military unit that she exposed in Independence Port. The Circle of Thorns and Banished Pantheon vied to be the first to plunge the world into darkness for their respective, caged gods, trying in ways the public would never know or even be able to believe, and Kristin stopped them all. The reward was that people were safer for her efforts. At night, many citizens were able to sleep a little sounder, and Kristin
patrolled the streets to ensure that it stay that way.
